Version 1.2.0 — Documentation & Help Centre

What's New

  • Expanded Help Centre — 11 comprehensive guides covering every feature, written in plain language for all users
  • New guides added: Projects, Reports & Exports, Settings & Profile, Billing & Plans, and the Referral Programme
  • All existing guides updated — rewritten with step-by-step diagrams, visual screen mockups, tips & tricks, and FAQs
  • Simplified language throughout — designed to be easy to follow for all users, including those who are not familiar with web applications

Version 1.1.0 — Calendar View

Released: June 2026

What's New

  • Calendar View — A full month-by-month visual calendar showing all timesheet entries and leave requests in a colour-coded grid. Admin and Manager views display the entire team; Employee views show personal data only.

  • Day Detail Panel — Click any calendar day with entries to open an inline panel showing every timesheet and leave request for that date, with full status, time range, project, and employee name (for Managers/Admins).

  • Entry Count Badges — Each day cell shows a count badge and a "+N more" indicator when entries exceed the visible limit. No data is ever hidden.

  • Colour Legend — A persistent colour key below the calendar grid explains all status colours at a glance.

Everything That Launched

  • Workforce Directory — Centralised employee management with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Roles: Employee, Manager, Admin, and Owner.

  • Timesheet Logger — Daily time-entry logging with automatic break calculations and overtime detection. Managers approve or reject with comments.

  • Leave Management — Full lifecycle for Annual, Sick, and Unpaid leave requests. Live balance counters update in real time.

  • Approval Queues — Dedicated approval queues for Managers and Admins. Timesheets and leave can be reviewed, approved, or rejected with mandatory comments on rejection.

  • Project Tracking — Create and manage client projects. Staff select a project when logging hours. Hours per project tracked in real time.

  • Reports Engine — Three report types: Hours Summary, Payroll Summary, and Project Hours. Exportable to PDF or CSV.

  • Multi-Workspace Support — One account can belong to multiple workspaces. Switch between workspaces from the menu.

  • Referral Programme — Earn account credits by referring other businesses to WorkRoster.

  • In-App Help Centre — Centralised documentation accessible from within the app.
